I just want you to be happy. Maybe Gokudera-kun smokes and curses and tries to act tough, but I don't think that stops him from caring about you. My dad's a lot like that.

I just think he and Rei got off to a bad start. Hayato isn't a bad person. Like you said, he just acts tough and he's good about smoking around me or in the house. But I know that he would protect me and any of you in a heartbeat.

And when he explodes it might just be a flash-bomb - cuz he just gets embarrassed the way Rei-chan and Rin-chan do. With how he gets around you he's less tsundere and more deredere, to me anyway. [He grins and laughs.] Deradere-kun. I like it.

[Then he nuzzles Makoto's shoulder again.]

Maybe just... try not to assume things with him. I think he needs that reassurance - the way he talked to me, he's had crushes that just never worked out, so he didn't want to expect you to return those feelings either. Maybe it's because of the Italian thing, but I don't think he likes Japanese language subtlety and propriety - like how you can leave a sentence off with "ten ten ten*" and the other person will just assume what you mean.

Of course with you, that's a good habit to break. [He smiles again] You've had to deal with Haru-chan all this time and if that's not reading between the lines, I don't know what is.

Maybe you're right. I should be a little more forward like a westerner. I don't want him thinking that I don't care for him as much as he cares for me. I wouldn't think that feels...good.
